A RP sample of the character:
Orion was beginning to get quite annoyed by the time the Scribe finally scanned the fake id properly. He was even about to pull out his Rosette for convenience when the scanner finally accepted the ID.
Orion snatched the badge away once the scan was complete and stormed into the inner plaza and to the Astropath hall. He barely noticed the guardsmen behind him, but he would need them anyway once he sent his message. No one could know an Inquisitor was on this world. It would make it quite a hassle to deal with a planetary governor, and if the governor wasn't to be trusted, he would find it difficult to leave this planet alive without his acolytes with him.
The lead astropath's communicae cell was filled with thew scent of incense and body order. It was poorly lit, and terribly ventilated. The astropath sat cross-legged with his tender a few feet behind him, a laspistol ready in hand in case the astropath was possessed. The astropath himelf was a wizened old man, with a bulging forhead and deepset milk-white eyes. When Orion entered the room, the astropath shuddered immediately and spoke, "I am ready to serve the Emperor, in life and death. How may I serve?"
Orion knelt down before the Astropath, and whispered a code into the astropath's ear. The astropath went into a trance for what seemed like a minute. afterwards the astropath shook out of the trance.
"Message sent... but.... I feel another presence pushing into my head..." The tender perked up at this, obviously wary of a possession, but Orion held a hand to stop him.
The room suddenly became much, much darker, and the smell of ozone filled everyone's nostrils. Suddenly, a bright ball appeared above the astropath, which inexplicably shot over to the ground and shifted into the form of a small terran cat, which began to speak.
"Orion! How are ya! Where'd ya go?!?" the laughter of a child filled the room, which sent a chill running down even Orion's spine.
"I'm on a hive world in another sector... I'm going to try to leave this world, but I don't know how long I will be gone. Tell Pan to hold the acolytes together, and continue towards the objective until I rendezvous with them."
"Ok Orion!!!" The cat snickered then instantly disappeared with a blast of light. Orion stood up, his his face appearing rather gaunt, as if the experience had drained him.
The astropath lowered his head, " Do what you must, Inquisitor." Orion quickly drew his bolt pistol and put a bolt through the Astropath's brain. The Tender, suddenly jarred by the blast, tried to raise his pistol in defense, but Orion put him down with a chest-splitting exploding bolt. He turned back to look at the Major and his guardsmen as claxxons began to wail.
"Get me Out of here."
